January 31, 2024, marked a momentous day for us at The Gents’ Foundation as we embarked on a journey to inspire and empower the next generation of female leaders. We had the incredible opportunity to visit the Brooklyn Emerging Leaders Academy (BELA) Charter High School, a beacon of education dedicated to empowering young girls.

Our session was led by a trio of remarkable individuals: Dr. Gloria C. Blaise, a new mentor in our team; Jessica Pierre-cadet, our Program Management Officer; and William Pierre-Louis, Jr., the founder of our organization. Together, they engaged with the students in a series of enlightening discussions.

The session focused on guiding these brilliant young ladies through the intricacies of career navigation, personal development, and the cultivation of their unique voices. Our speakers shared invaluable insights on becoming the women they aspire to be, emphasizing the importance of active community and civic involvement.

The interaction with the students of BELA was not just a dialogue; it was a step towards building a brighter, more inclusive future. Our visit was a testament to the power of mentorship and the impact of providing young women with the tools they need to succeed.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Dean of Instruction, Kessina Cheriza, and Miss Kimberly Peters for extending us the invitation to share our mission with the students of BELA. Their support was crucial in making this visit possible.
